Carton clamp attachment
February 1st 2006

B&B Attachments believes its new carton clamp will make the handling of large, non-palletised goods both safer and easier.

Made by Kaup, the T414-1 has aluminium contact pads and arm connections on the guide profiles to improve the residual capacity of the forklift truck.

Kaup has reduced the mass weight of the clamp by 80kg compared to previous models. This, coupled with improvements on centre of gravity and lost load thickness ensures maximum residual is obtained from the forklift. The clamp's aluminium contact pads can be turned 90 and 180° respectively, allowing maximum use of the pads before they need replacing.

The clamp can be supplied with sensors that enable it to recognise the loading pattern and number of units to be lifted. As well as boosting safety, this tells the driver how deep the clamp is located on the load. This prevents incomplete gripping of units in the second row of a load and injury to personnel and damage to goods.
