ATEX compliant February 1st 2004 Ability Handling is UK distributor for Sichelschmidt, a leader in flameproof battery electric forklift trucks. The company will be exhibiting a range of seated and pedestrian operated machines at IMHX.
All are fully compliant with the atex directives and available as Category 2G for Zones 1 and 2, and as 3G for Zone 2.
The product range features ASM AC drive technology, that incorporates brushless ac motors for drive, steering and lift functions, and solid-state contactor-free control systems.
The company says costly maintenance schedules associated with conventional flameproof dc motored machines are a thing of the past, and claims that users benefit from a robust and reliable forklift with excellent battery efficiency and proven service and maintenance costs.
