Tag and book
February 1st 2005

The HSE estimates that each year there are about 8000 accidents involving forklifts. Aware of the potential dangers, Scafftag has launched Forkliftag and The Black Book.

The company points out that because forklifts are such a familiar part of industry, their potential safety risks and maintenance requirements are often overlooked.

Scafftag safety management systems are designed to enable effective communication and inspection management to instill routine and establish control.

Forkliftag is a tagging system that includes an easy-to-follow checklist that is completed daily by the operator.

The Black Book will complement the tagging system to form a total forklift safety management solution. It contains easyto- follow guidelines on complying with legislation and all inspection records necessary to establish an effective information management system.
