Waste safely shifted
February 1st 2005

With increases in the volume and complexity of waste from both industrial and domestic sources, it is vital that recycling plants are able to cope with huge quantites of waste passing through their site.

When Pearce Recycling bought a new Linde 39X, 3t capacity hydrostatic forklift from Linde Trifik, the company was delighted by the difference it made to its operation. Operators too were impressed by the truck’s comfort and by its handling characteristics.

The diesel powered 39X copes well with the five acres of varying terrain on the site due to its special suspension system. It can handle two bales of waste paper simultaneously using a specially designed clamp with straight edged arms, that securely clamp both bales. The straight edged arms were suggested as an alternative to scalloped edged arms as they are said to provide extra stability for the weighty loads.
