Forklift drivers at Nottingham based frozen food distributors MKG Foods are said to be more chilled now they have started using two AC electric powered Aisle-Master articulated forklifts in their cold-store.

The Aisle-Masters which have replaced man-down turret trucks and are said to be more versatile.

Warehouse manager Wayne Merrin comments: "They have definitely made life a lot easier, productivity is up – we can easily cope with 700 pallet movements per week, and the whole operation is slicker." Despite the tight working spaces, drivers can still exit the trucks when in the aisles, (not possible previously) and the Aisle-Masters can be used outside for loading and offloading purpose if necessary.
