Emission levels cut on new lift trucks August 1st 2007 Nissan has launched a new range of compact, low emission engine lift trucks suitable both for inside work in restricted areas and for yard work. Less that 1m wide, they can turn in a radius of 1735mm. The LX Series, in 10 lifting capacities from 1.5 to 3.6t, features Nissan's latest Tri-Cat Ultra three-way catalytic converter, reducing potentially harmful exhaust emissions by up to 99%. The system addresses all three toxic substances produced when LP gas is burned carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen, protecting the operator and those nearby. Nissan has also introduced high performance, fuelinjected engines designed especially for its forklift ranges. Combined with the Tri-Cat Ultra, they provide an engine management system that is said to offer up to 26% greater fuel economy than with conventional fuel delivery. The new trucks combine manoeuvrability and good visibility with physical features to maximise control, stability and handling. More articles from Nissan Motor (GB) Limited: |
