Explosion-proof
April 1st 2006

Toyota Industrial Equipment has launched a new range of explosionproof forklifts as a full factory option, to ensure a quick and simple ordering process for customers.

The trucks are designed to operate safely in potentially explosive environments including Zone 1 and Zone 2.

Dave Moore, national customer and sales support manager, comments "The explosion-proof forklifts are suitable for customers in industries ranging from chemical to distilling and provide and ideal solution for companies that need specialist trucks to provide the highest levels of safety.

"A factory-built solution affords such customers assurance that the entire truck has been purpose built for a potentially hazardous environment, as opposed to just the additional protection elements."

The explosion-proof option is available on the 7FDF and 7FBMF models.

Modifications ensure the forklifts meet the requirements of ATEX 1004/9/EC and ATEX 1999/9/EC.
