Flexible sideloader alternative
June 1st 2009

Timber frame component manufacturer, Pinewood Structures has replaced an old fleet of conventional sideloaders with a diesel powered 4-way Combilift sideloader at its Bedfordshire site. Loads handled include a wide range of raw and finished materials, for example 12m lengths of engineered wood.

To replace the conventional sideloaders, Midland Forklifts, the company's local materials handling specialists, suggested the Combilift SL range. This was developed to meet demand from conventional sideloader users wanting all-wheel drive 4-way models with better manoeuvrability and flexibility, able to work in pre-existing aisle widths.

Combilift SLs are available with lift capacities of 4.5, 5 and 6t, LPG and diesel power options, a choice of front or rear cabs and other customised features.
