More storage space and driver comfort

Rapid expansion at leisure and sports retailer, Elverys Sport, resulted in the need for more storage space at its central distribution warehousing operation in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

By using a 2t capacity, LPG-powered Aisle-Master articulated forklift instead of a previous combination of counterbalance and reach truck, the company has almost doubled the amount of pallet spaces it can fit into its second warehouse.

Aisle widths have been reduced to 1.9m, while the truck's 10.5m mast allows use of all vertical space.

The designated driver is very happy with the truck and adjusted easily to the articulated system. The truck's robust construction, good visibility from the cab, high quality suspension seat, adjustable steering column and lack of rear end swing contribute to a comfortable, safe working environment for operators.
