June 1st 2009 When a food manufacturer
wanted to improve the bin
lifting and tipping operation
in its tea production facility, it
looked at several units that
achieved the task safely.
However, they also slowed up
production. Although safety
was the prime consideration,
equipment that would deliver
safety and speed would be
preferred.
Following a visit to
ascertain exactly what was
required, STS produced a set
of 3D Solid Model CAD
drawings of the concept unit.
The customer was
impressed with the design and
4 weeks later a prototype was
onsite. Following a few minor
design changes, eight bin
lifting and tipping units have
now been delivered and
