Rapid, simple-to-operate lifts
February 1st 2008

Specialist in rapid, simple-to -operate vehicle lifts, Stertil, has replaced old and inefficient lifting equipment with eleven new lifts at Brownhills' Motorhomes workshop in Newark, Nottinghamsire.

The workshop services vehicles up to 7 metres long and weighing 3.5 tonnes and carries out all types of work from pre-delivery checks to accessory fitting.

Due to the variety of vehicles handled by the workshop, a range of lifts was purchased, including the 2050 and the ultra-stable 4070.

The 2050- lift has a capacity of five tonnes and features two hydraulic cylinders plus an electronically-controlled synchronisation system. The height of the lift can be set thereby enabling the unit to be adapted to suit different workshops and vehicles.

The 4070 has a lifting capacity of seven tonnes and has been developed especially for the new generation of long commercial vans and light freight trucks.

A low drive-on height of only 16cm guarantees that vehicles with low groundclearance can be safely driven onto the platforms.

This enables short drive-on ramps to be used, leaving more space available in the workshop.
