VERSATILE LOADING DOCK INTRODUCED
October 1st 2004

J.H. Birtwistle, textile manufacturer of Lancashire, has taken on a new mobile loading dock to help remove pallets of yarn from arriving containers.

The Romadek HH1500 lift from Paramount Loading Systems, is used at neighbouring warehouses and has multi-directional wheels and two hitches to enable a forklift to tow it between sites.

Birtwistles opted for a mobile lift instead of a fixed system because of space restrictions, which also ruled out use of an access ramp. The lift is wheeled to the rear of the container as deliveries arrive and can be moved aside at other times.
