LIGHTING UPGRADE FOR THE AA FLEET
April 1st 2004

The interior lighting in all British Gas and AA vehicles has been upgraded by parent company Centrica and each vehicle is now equipped with Batten Lights from Labcraft.

The chassis of the Batten light is a solid aluminium extrusion with integrated reflector, formed to direct the light to where it is required. It is said to give up to 30% more light than traditional Tungsten bulbs.

Lights are finished in white stove enamel paint for corrosion protection and have polycarbonate end caps and shade to seal the unit from dirt and to optimise light output.

Labcrafts XT circuit means the light can be switched on and off more than a quarter of a million times without damage to the tube.
