Easy to move
April 1st 2005

When Longreach House Psychiatric Hospital encountered difficulty in moving roll cages in confined corridors and needed to solve the problem of moving cages manually on inclines, MasterMover provided the solution.

A pedestrian-operated MasterTug helps minimise the risk of injury to staff when they are moving laundry cages. Previously, rollcages were moved by hand and relied on the user’s strength to move them up and down slopes.

The design of the product was another reason Longreach House bought the MasterTug. Juliette Prouse, locality manager, explains “The MasterTug allows staff to manoeuvre cages up and down an incline that has limited access. The compact size of the equipment enabled it to help us overcome our problem.

A feature of the unit is that it can rotate 90° either side of the payload, allowing the conveyance to turn on its axis and be manoeuvred with ease.
