Explosion-proof solutions
June 1st 2007

Lifting Solutions aims to ensure existing and prospective customers are fully compliant with new EU regulations relating to explosive atmospheres.

Installations running in explosive atmospheres must now comply with European Directive 99/92/EC. All hoisting equipment on production sites will have to be ATEX-certified, or covered by risk analysis, and the equipment concerned brought into compliance.

The company has formed a partnership with French manufacturer Verlinde as part of this strategy.

Jonathan Moorhouse, MD, says "The addition of the Verlinde ATEX range makes us a one-stop shop, ensuring that your complete site is in compliance with the new European requirements relating to explosive environments."
