New attachment for shrink wrap film
August 1st 2007

To meet customers' requirements to lift, transport and load rolls of shrink wrap film onto a Muller Octopus stretch wrapper, Packline designed a special attachment to fit onto its Comac stainless steel lifting machines.

The rolls of shrink wrap film needed to be positioned onto the shrink wrapper's film carriage situated about 500mm from the access point and, once at loading position, the rolls of film need to be tilted to position them on the carriage mandrel.

The lifting attachment was designed with an extended arm to allow for the reach required, the clamping head arrangement and forward tipping mechanism ensured the reels of shrink wrap film could be easily manipulated and positioned onto the shrink wrapper's film carriage mandrel.
