Scissor lift solutions
December 1st 2006

Speed was of the essence when road haulage company Eddie Stobart had to complete a major stocktake in five huge warehouses over two hectic weekends.

To ensure minimum disruption to its business, the company enlisted the help of machines from AFIUplift's powered access rental fleet.

The company's Manchester and Warrington depots supplied 22 scissor lifts, including seven Skyjack 4632 models with a maximum working height of 11.6m, non-marking tyres and a 0.9m roll-out deck extension.

The scissor lifts had platform heights from 10 to 17m and the narrow width models ensured flexibility on the warehouse floor.

Certified powered access machine operators employed by Stobart's electrical contractor, McLennan Electrical, operated the scissor lifts on behalf of the company.
