Strong base for safe loading
June 1st 2008 A mobile lifting platform has
been introduced by
Transdek UK to provide safe
loading and unloading of
double-stacked containers.
The platform is designed
to allow customers to
increase their external
storage capacity at little
cost. It consists of a strong
tubular frame with large
wheels on each corner that
can be lowered to the
ground for moving, either by
staff or forklift.
Once sited against a pair
of containers, wheels are
retracted and straps
attached to hold it in place.
The 2.4 by 2m platform
has a load capacity of 2t
and maximum lift height of
3m. On-board controls allow
it to be raised and lowered
by staff while they stand on
