FAST-ACTING DRUM LIFTER AND TIPPER

STS was recently commissioned to develop a special, fast-acting, powered drum lifting and tipping system.

The resulting ST-DRC01 sits sideways on to the vessel and the drum is loaded into the side of the unit using STS’s Side- Shift De-Palletiser. The drum aperture can be oriented using an inbuilt rotation system in the base of the cradle.

The drum clamp has a lever operated, self-locking mechanism. All lifting and tipping controls are at the back of the unit. One lever lifts the drum; another operates the tipping ram.

Positioned next to the vessel, the unit stays in position even during drum loading. While the drum is decanting, the next drum can be prepared with the de-palletiser.

The unit is 650mm wide, offers a tip angle of 110° and an SWL of 350kg.

Various heights and power options are offered.
