Less effort necessary
June 1st 2006 When ready-meal maker, Rowan Foods of Wrexham, needed to find a quick, safe method of moving 1500kg pressure vessels through its production area MasterMover provided the solution.
It used to take three production staff to move the vessel from a filling station to a weighing scale and then on to the assembly line. The operation took around 7min and required a lot of physical effort.
Rowan Foods now uses two customised MT5-400 electric tugs. These enable a single operator to move the load safely through the production area in less than 5min.
Each machine was customised in stainless steel and supplied with a sealed headset and control panel.
Safety features include programmable speed control, electro magnetic braking system and an anti-pinning emergency stop button. More articles from MasterMover Ltd: |
