New tug's on a roll
October 1st 2007

MasterMover has added to its roll cage handling range.

The SM60 is designed for moving cages weighing up to 600kg direct from a delivery vehicle's tail lift using just one operator.

A special coupling system is at the heart of the product's operation. By clamping on the base of the roll cage securely, the centre of gravity is shifted from the centre top of the cage to the base, reversing the danger of the load toppling onto the operator.

The device can be used safely on inclines or slopes; auto braking and variable speed with emergency stop are fitted as standard.

Typically operating in confined spaces, the SM60 has compact dimensions and is said to be comparable in size to a domestic vacuum cleaner, which means it can be sited either on the truck or in a store. It has 65kg of pull and push force and good traction from puncture-proof tyres. Users can be trained within 30min to operate the product safely.
