Polyex, manufacturer of polycarbonate sheets, turned to MasterMover International to solve a manual handling problem at its Derbyshire site.

A MasterTug unit has joined the company’s handling fleet to move wheeled trolleys.

The MT5-240 is one of 25 pedestrian-operated machines made by MasterMover that can move loads from 50 to 64 000kg.

Simple to use and compact, it allows operators to pull and push with ease loads of up to 20 panes of sheeting weighing in excess of 1000kg.

Colin Leveridge, technical department, says “Following a free trial of the equipment, we introduced the MasterTug unit that now allows one person to transport goods previously moved by three men. I am extremely pleased with the machine’s reliability and performance.”
