Pushing safety forward
October 1st 2006

At Airedale International Air Conditioning in Leeds, a Nu-Star Super Pusher unit manoeuvres air conditioning and chiller units through production and testing lines and into the despatch area.

The company incorporated part of Nu-Star's coupling mechanism into the mobile base units on which its air conditioning units are assembled. This enables it to use the Super Pusher like a general purpose tractor unit and manoeuvre all the units anywhere in the factory.

Tim Palmer, Airedale Manufacturing systems engineer, comments "What was a time consuming task involving four to five people is now a simple and safe operation carried out by one person."
