Safety accolade
February 1st 2011 Transdek UK was announced
Specialist Winner of the Automation
category in the inaugural Design 4
Safety Awards at IMHX 2010, which
were founded to highlight the
importance of product design in
generating safer materials handling
practices.
Transdek's Double Deck Lift was
voted winner of its category on the
grounds that it: "deals thoroughly
with the numerous hazards
associated with the loading and
unloading of double-deck trailers,
which are being increasingly adopted
by haulage operators to reduce costs
and carbon emissions".
Citations from the judges also
noted that, "based on the judges'
real-world experience [Transdek's]
Double Deck Lift reduces the
likelihood of struck-by incidents
involving lift trucks, and makes it
