Trolley drive system
April 1st 2006

Trolley Drive from Zed Systems has been successfully trialled by a major automotive supply company.

The universal drive was developed to meet a customer's specific requirements. Trolley Drive as it is now known, had to be suitable for use by lots of different people, so a tiller arm was added to provide ease of operation.

The device can be provided in a range of standard sizes, or the trolley can be manufactured to customers' requirements, providing reliable and cost effective solutions to materials handling problems.

The tiller head encompasses a joystick for the operator to control the speed of travel, a direction selection switch and an anti-pinning switch.

Unloaded speed, depending on the trolley, is about 5km per hour.

The time between battery charges depends on the loads being moved and the amount the trolley is used, but generally the charge will last between 4 and 8h.
