Tug joins the fleet
June 1st 2005

Hydro Automotive Structures has added another MasterMover to the fleet of tugs in use at its Worcester plant.

Before the arrival of the latest MasterTug unit, three operatives had pushed car bodies weighing more than 1t up an incline from stores to the work area.

Now, just one operative is needed to perform the operation. The unit has an optional flexible coupling with gas spring and coupling lock that enables it to negotiate the ramp with ease. Ian Price of Hydro comments “The machine was brought in to improve the health and safety of our operatives when moving components, which it does very well.”
