Prevents drive-away
October 1st 2004

A new product has been introduced by Castell Safety International to protect loader drivers during loading or unloading operations.

Developed in conjunction with Christian Salvesen, Salvo greatly reduces the chances of drive-away occurring, but at a price that is said to be a fraction that of alternative vehicle restraint technologies.

The interlocking system establishes a procedural link between articulated trailers and their specific loading bay doors. Drivers are forced to immobilise their trailers before the bay door can be opened. If the trailer is not locked in place, loading or unloading cannot begin.
