Trailer safety
December 1st 2006

Developed in consultation with the plant hire and construction industries, the Load Manager trailer from Indespension is said to avoid the risk of overloading.

It does this by ensuring that no single axle can be overloaded and by having an adjustable height drawbar that can be positioned to suit a range of towing vehicles, thereby ensuring a level towing height.

For the operator, correct load positioning is achieved simply by driving the digger or roller onto the trailer and positioning it against the bulkhead.

The bulkhead forms part of a handy compartment that, as well as being part of the load management system, provides a designated storage area for buckets that can be safely lashed down.

The digger itself can be secured using the 10 deck rings. By fitting these on the inside of the body panels, high lashing forces can be applied.

To avoid incorrect nose load problems, the drawbar has three adjustment points to suit various ball heights from 280 to 610mm.

Other features include an extended spring-assisted loading ramp
