Armco barriers fitted with canopy
July 1st 2009 Manufacturing and pharmaceutical
company, Novartis, is benefiting
from the installation of a 16m long
by 18m wide CopriSystems loading
bay canopy. Based in Sussex, the
company had been suffering with
rain, wind and the cold. Other site
issues included car parking, drainage
and an unusual bird problem.
Designing its bespoke canopy to
satisfy all requirements,
CopriSystems provided
a full package deal,
which included
applying for planning
permission. A comprehensive
site survey
ensured that all site
issues were catered for.
Groundworks were
undertaken and full lighting
installed. Armco barriers were fitted
both inside and outside the canopy
sides for protection from forklift
trucks and other vehicles.
The problem with birds was
overcome by supplying the steel
framed canopy with a second skin of
