Loading bay restraint
August 1st 2004

A restraint system for vehicles parked at loading bays have been developed by Stertil Stokvis.

Integrated into a wheel-alignment guide, through which the truck is centred in the dock shelter and the dock leveller, the universal Combilok wheel-restraint system is designed to prevent accidents.

The control system is installed in the warehouse and operates the hydraulic movement of a wheel block towards the rear wheel of the truck. An in-built sensor determines the position of the wheel and the wheel block is then automatically extended and pushed against the rear wheel.

Audible and visual alarms accompany this movement.
