Loading bay safety boost
December 1st 2008

Stertil Stokvis says its Combilok wheel-restraint system can prevent accidents in loading bay environments.

The control system is installed in the warehouse and operates the hydraulic movement of a wheel block towards the rear wheel of the truck. An in-built sensor determines the position of the wheel and the wheel block is then automatically extended and pushed against the rear wheel, restraining the vehicle. Not only does this improve safety for drivers and loading bay staff, but also eliminates damage to expensive goods and equipment, and helps guard against theft. Easy to install, Combilok suits commercial vehicles with a ground clearance of 35cm or more.
