Protect racking uprights from structural damage December 1st 2008 To protect pallet racking
uprights against structural
damage, materials handling
and storage company, Nene
has introduced a moulded
protector called Rack
Deflektor.
The protective bumper
lessens the force of fork truck
collision, reducing damage to
operators, vehicles and
racking frames.
A high visibility, non-fading
yellow polyethylene outer
shell with rubber insert shock
absorber means the Deflektor
can reform itself after impact
without denting and also will
not rust.
The fluorescent colour aims
to actually prevent impact
from occurring in the first
place by signaling to operators
the protector's location and
providing boundaries.
However, if a collision does
occur, the Rack Deflektor
reduces the impact,
minimising damage to the
structural integrity of racks
and floors, which could lead to
costly repairs as well as health
& safety issues. No fixings are
required and there is no need
for floor drilling as the
deflector is attached to
racking by a serrated clip. More articles from Nene Group Plc: |
