Sounder & strobe
December 1st 2003

Clifford and Snell has introduced a new audible and visual alarm YL2. The compact unit houses a fully integrated sounder and strobe combination for audible/visual applications within a range of buildings. Complying with BS5839 Pt 1:2000, the YL2 is continuously rated and features low power consumption, volume control as standard and a separate light, sound or combination function. In addition to sound selection via a DIL switch, the unit provides 32 selectable tones to meet a wide range of international regulations. A parabolic reflector produces high intensity light output of 3J, and lens options include red, amber and clear polycarbonate plastic. Operational temperature range is from -25 to 40C with a light output of 40 candela (effective). Voltage rating is 24v dc 20%, while minimum current consumption for the strobe is 60mA and for the sounder 20mA.
