Power firm awards healthcare contract October 1st 2006 Balfour Beatty Power Networks has appointed Grosvenor Health to take care of its specialist workforce. Predominantly supporting Balfour's transient workers, the occupational health provider will deliver an off-site and mobile service. The appointment came following an extensive review of the power firm's OH provision by Grosvenor's specialist occupational health physicians earlier this year. The review identified a need for services, including health screening, employee referral services and ongoing occupational health advice and support. Steve Lawrence, HSEQ and technical director, Balfour Beatty Power Networks, comments "We chose to appoint Grosvenor because of the company's commitment to recommend and deliver only the most appropriate services based on the risks and needs of each occupation in our business. "Previous providers have been keen to sell us services without fully understanding how best to support our workforce. We are delighted at Grosvenor's fresh approach and hope to gain great benefits from this new relationship." Grosvenor provides services to more than 100 major organisations across 600 UK sites. |
