Ergonomic emptying
May 1st 2009 JYSK, retailer of home furnishings,
has selected Caljan Rite-Hite's
ergonomic conveyor solution to
empty sea containers at its 50 million
cubic feet European storage and
distribution facility.
Telescopic boom conveyors, each
fitted with a vacuum lifting aid,
traverse between multiple doors
enabling the operator to empty
containers swiftly and ergonomically.
Using this equipment means that a
high level of activity can be
maintained throughout the shift
without compromising employee
welfare.
A container typically holds boxes
of various shapes, sizes and weights
representing various stock numbers.
These are often pressed tightly
together, making it difficult to get a
