Healthy office session

UK disability insurer, UnumProvident, in conjunction with Maria Lallement (Vocational Rehabilitation Services) and Healthy Office Working, has hosted a series of healthy office working sessions for staff at its Dorking premises.

The sessions, called Fit for Work, Fit for Life, centred on ergonomics. Attendees were shown how healthy working postures can increase productivity and reduce sickness absence.

Ergonomic consultants advised on the difficulties employers are likely to encounter and offered practical examples of how these might be addressed.

UnumProvident works with experts to incorporate ergonomics as a key consideration in helping claimants achieving a sustainable return to work.
