AID FOR FIRST AID KIT MANUFACTURER
April 1st 2005

Safety First Aid (SFA) has been supplying first aid and eye care kits for industry, workplace, sports and travel use for more than 25 years.

When it decided to update the design of its first aid cases it enlisted the help of product development company, 42 Technology.

The new design had to form part of a family of products, ranging from standard kits, bio-hazard kits and burns kits. Each required the contents to be stored in a particular way.

The kits also needed to provide tamper evidence, dust and moisture seals, show content information and be impact resistant.

The traditional green first aid box with a white cross is still regarded as one of the most recognisable products in an emergency and SFA wanted to retain the user recognition factor.

It was in the mounting system that 42 Technology was able to come up with something different. Each case can be bought with a quick-release wall bracket that can be linked with other brackets to form a modular system. Customers can now build first aid points to their exact needs.
