Sign speaks volumes
December 1st 2007

Health and safety signs can quickly lose their impact when seen every day, according to Bedfont. The company's latest speech warning system offers a solution.

The VoicePOD is a portable unit that gives a clear public announcement whenever a person is detected, reinforcing what is seen with sound.

By using the VoicePOD, site managers, DDA compliance officers and business owners will be able to ensure DDA requirements are fully met while reminding staff and customers of specific risks, hazards and instructions.

The unit's inbuilt sensor can detect a person within a range of 5m, the unit can be moved to different locations as the risk changes, and it has the flexibility to program 7 unique messages.

A key-fob sized remote control lets the user select messages, control volume, select time delays and switch the VoicePOD on/off.
