Calling lone workers
April 1st 2007

Argyll Telecom has launched a simplified mobile phone that offers limited call functionality and an embedded safety device.

Satisfying health and safety legislation for lone workers, MobiCare is said to minimise the costs normally associated with mobile phones, without reducing any of the benefits of maintaining regular contact with colleagues.

Should the user need immediate help, they can press two red buttons on the phone to create an emergency signal to Argyll's 24-hour control room, initiating an agreed incident management procedure.
