For lone workers
June 1st 2004

Ascom Tele-Novas on-site communication platforms are said to combine the best of radio paging, DECT and PABX infrastructures, providing a range of lone worker protection and general security solutions.

A computer lan or wan and a telephone or paging system used to be seen as two separate entities. Now soft and hardware solutions enable direct links between the two. Mailgate, for example, enables an email system to forward selected emails to On Site paging, DECT or lone worker handsets, while NetPage allows group or individual messaging to handsets from a web page, via an Elise hardware module.

Using 9d24 handsets adds another dimension to a DECT-based communication and personal alarm system. They combine on-site, text, data and speech messaging facilities, with the full functionality of a cordless mobile phone.

Able to co-communicate with different types of paging, speech and alarm units on an installed site, they also link via PABX to the public telephone system.
