Places for People, is encouraging its divisions to provide lone workers with Orbis Monitoring Service’s IdentiSafe.

Although staff have experienced few personal safety incidents, the group’s health and safety team were aware that lone workers face situations everyday that makes them feel uncomfortable.

IdentiSage combines a device that looks like a normal ID card holder but is packed with the latest in mobile phone technology linked with the Orbis 24/7 Response Centre so that users can covertly get help.

Before going into potentially hazardous situations, the user presses an amber alert button to record where they are going. If they later needed to press the red alert, operators would then retrieve this information and co-ordinate emergency support.
