Lone worker aid
October 1st 2004

Ascom Tele-Nova believes its on-site communication platforms combine the best of radio paging, DECT and PABX infrastructures, providing lone worker protection and general security solutions.

The company says gone are the days when a computer LAN or WAN network and a telephone or paging system needed to be seen as two separate communication entities.

Now soft and hardware solutions enable direct links between the two.

Mailgate, for example, enables an email system to forward selected emails to On-Site paging, DECT or lone worker handsets, while NetPage allows groups or individual messaging to handsets via an Ascom Tele-Nova Elise hardware module.

Use of 9d24 handsets adds another dimension to a DECT-based communication and personal alarm system, combining on-site, text, data and speech messaging facilities, with the full functionality of a cordless mobile phone.
