Lone worker alarm
August 1st 2007

Many people interpret the term 'Lone worker' as someone working completely on their own. However, this can also apply to employees working alone in parts of a factory or warehouse, even though other parts of the premises are occupied.

Should these workers have an accident, it may take a long time for help to arrive.

The new wireless Worker Sentry alarm system from First Stop Safety is designed to alert key people around the premises as soon as the unit is triggered. This happens automatically when the body-worn device detects that the person has fallen. As well as sounding a siren, the unit can alert a number of pagers to summon help from around the site.
