Ready for red alert
December 1st 2008

Charles Church North London is helping protect its staff from accidents, verbal abuse and possible physical attack with the support of Identicom and SoloProtect.

Aware that their sales consultants face the risk of accidents as well as possible threat from verbal and physical abuse with the possibility they may be unable to reach the panic alarms fitted in marketing suites, sales and marketing director, Paul Bennett, decided to investigate lone worker devices.

"The majority of our sales staff are women and, therefore, the risks are obvious", said Paul. "We have received positive feedback from our staff who are all voluntarily using Identicom." If an employee feels they are entering a hazardous situation, they press an amber alert button, providing location information to SoloProtect's monitoring centre. If the red alert is then pressed the centre's support staff can discreetly listen in to what is happening and make an assessment as to the level of support required.
