SECURITY BOOST FOR THOSE ALONE
October 1st 2004

Available from Connexion2, Identicom looks like a normal ID holder, but is equipped with mobile phone technology, enabling a lone worker to covertly raise an alarm if threatened.

The device also allows a third party to listen to what is happening and record events whatever the distance. It can be used to support the pinpointing of a worker’s location using GSM/LBS technology.

Included is a lanyard attachment that enables it to be worn around the neck as a standard ID, hiding a rip alarm function that is triggered if the unit is forcibly removed from the wearer.

Identicom is flexible enough to be configured in a number of different ways, thereby allowing an employer to adopt the device without the need to significantly change or alter working practices.

With violence against service personnel growing, the device offers a means of capturing evidence of abuse and safeguarding personnel from assault.
