Caring for the carers October 1st 2008 Nursing company Healthcare
At Home has purchased
Identicom units as part of
the SoloProtect protection
service. Should nurses
encounter a situation where
they feel threatened, they
have the reassurance that
they are being monitored and
can discreetly summon help.
Available from
Connexion2, SoloProtect
combines Identicom with a
24/7 manned monitoring
service from a Policeapproved,
BS5979 Category
II receiving centre.
When an employee enters
a potentially hazardous
situation, he/she presses an
amber alert button that
notifies the monitoring
centre. The centre notes the
user's location and will raise
an alarm if the alert is not
cancelled within a predetermined
period. If the red
alert is pressed, staff can
listen in and assess the level
of support required. More articles from Connexion 2 Ltd: |
