For the night shift
August 1st 2008

When Metro Car Park's parking attendants are working alone, particularly at night, they now know they have the additional safety provided by Rocksure's Peoplesafe.

When working alone the attendants press the 'checking in' button, which notifies Rocksure's control centre. The control centre is able to observe the wearer's movements and raise the alarm if the 'checking in' button is not cancelled at the end of their shift. If the red alert button is pressed, this instigates a set protocol that allows the control centre to assess the need for help and call the police if necessary.

The record made of an incident can also help in the prosecution of people who verbally or physically abuse lone workers. "Peoplesafe was chosen for its simplicity of pricing, ease of use and its 24/7 monitoring centre", said Metro's Simon Fendick
