Prepared for new lone worker standard
August 1st 2008

In anticipation of the launch this year of a new British Standard for the protection of lone workers, BS8484, Orbis Monitoring is making a significant investment in order to be one of the first to gain certification.

More than £0.3 million is being spent to ensure the service exceeds the specification and passes with flying colours.

Orbis director David Armstrong said: "This investment will be concentrated on upgrading our primary and secondary monitoring facilities to accommodate the new code of practice along with the very latest revision of the BS5979: 2007, the standard for alarm receiving centres."
