Sander with damping
June 1st 2011

The GEX 125-150 AVE Professional sander from Bosch provides an impressive sanding removal rate whilst reducing the unpleasant effects of vibration on the user.

According to Bosch, the tool puts an end to 'hand buzz' because it is the first random orbit sander on the market with effective damping; the drive unit and the outer housing shell are decoupled from each other. As a result, the vibration is not transferred to the user but is absorbed, similar to the effect of a shock absorber.

The result is a vibration emission value of maximum 2.5m/s2. This means users can perform everyday sanding work without any time limit. The decoupling of the handle shell also has a positive effect on surface quality; the sanding pad maintains complete contact with the surface of the workpiece even when the feed pressure is not distributed evenly on the tool's grip-surfaces. As a result, more material is consistently removed and the work gets done faster.
