Audiometer rental package available
June 1st 2007 First Stop Safety has
introduced a new
Audiometer rental
package which allows
companies to carry out
hearing tests using
suitably trained staff.
The Control of Noise
at Work Regulations
brought in hearing tests
for everyone exposed to
more than 85dB of noise
over a working day. First
Stop Safety comments that
it is also good practice to
test the hearing of new
staff to establish a baseline.
One solution to
implementing this is to
train staff in carrying out
these tests and to hire an
Audiometer when required.
The Industrial audiometer
Package available from First
Stop Safety is PC-controlled
and easy to operate. It
comes with a guide –
Guidelines to a good
Audiometric programme,
health questionnaire and a
user manual.
Results are presented
graphically and saved for
